Terms & Conditions
Last updated: July 28, 2026
By submitting a repair request or using any service provided by SIRLab, LLC (“SIRLab,” “we,” or “us”), you agree to these terms. All repairs are performed in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 quality standards. These terms work alongside our Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.
Estimates and Authorization
Inspection and estimates are provided free of charge and without obligation. No repair work begins until you approve the written estimate. If we find additional damage that materially changes the scope after work has been authorized, we will stop and obtain your approval of a revised estimate before continuing. Turnaround times we quote are good-faith estimates based on the work and parts required, not guarantees.
Decontamination and Customer Responsibilities
All equipment must be cleaned and decontaminated before shipment and must arrive with a completed decontamination certificate. We may refuse, quarantine, or return at your expense any unit that arrives without one or that we reasonably believe to be contaminated. You are responsible for packing equipment adequately for transit, for removing or securing loose components, and for confirming that you are authorized to send us the equipment. Do not include patient information of any kind with a shipment.
Payment
Payment terms are those stated on your estimate and invoice. Title to any parts supplied by SIRLab passes to you upon payment in full. Equipment left in our care remains your property, and we do not assume ownership of it by servicing it.
Warranty
SIRLab provides a 90-day warranty on all repair work. This warranty covers defects in workmanship and parts supplied by SIRLab. The remedy for a valid claim is repair or replacement of the affected assembly, at SIRLab’s election.
Warranty Exclusions
The warranty does not cover:
- Impact damage, drops, or crush damage.
- Abuse, misuse, or use outside the manufacturer’s rated load capacity.
- Damage from improper cleaning agents, autoclaving, or sterilization methods not approved by the manufacturer.
- Parts installed by a third party after service, or any subsequent disassembly not performed by SIRLab.
- Units returned without a completed decontamination certificate.
- Normal wear on consumable items (pads, straps, and hook-and-loop) beyond 90 days.
- Corrosion resulting from storage conditions or fluid exposure after return.
Equipment Condition and Limits of Service
SIRLab restores equipment to OEM operating specifications using OEM-quality parts and OEM test criteria. We do not manufacture the equipment we service and we cannot warrant the original design, the base metal condition of a unit that arrives worn or previously damaged, or the suitability of any device for a particular procedure. Determining whether a device is appropriate for clinical use remains the responsibility of the facility and its clinical and biomedical staff. If we find a unit cannot be safely restored, we will say so and return it rather than return it to service.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SIRLab is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, procedure delays, or the cost of substitute equipment, arising out of or relating to our services. Our total liability for any claim relating to a repair will not exceed the amount you paid SIRLab for that repair. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct. This section is not intended to limit any right you may have against an original equipment manufacturer.
Unclaimed Equipment
Equipment that remains unclaimed 90 days after we send written notice to the address on file may be treated as abandoned and disposed of in accordance with applicable Tennessee law. See our Refund Policy for the notice process we follow first.
