Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 28, 2026
SIRLab, LLC (“SIRLab,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides surgical instrument repair services to hospitals, surgery centers, and the professionals who support them. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to sirlab.us and to the inquiries you send us through it. It does not apply to any third-party site we link to.
Summary
We collect only what you type into our contact and estimate forms, plus the basic technical data any web server records. We use it to answer you and to do the repair work you asked about. We do not sell it, we do not rent it, we do not use it for advertising, and this site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts.
Information We Collect
Information you give us
When you submit our contact form or estimate request form, we collect the information in the fields you complete. Depending on the form, that can include:
- Your name and job title or role.
- Your business email address and phone number.
- Your facility, company, or organization name.
- Your business mailing address.
- Details about the equipment you need serviced, including manufacturer, model, quantity, urgency, and your description of the problem.
- How you heard about us, and anything else you choose to write to us.
We also receive whatever you send us directly by email, telephone, or in the paperwork and packing slips that accompany equipment shipped to our facility.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard server log data when you visit, including your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the date and time of your request. We also process your IP address briefly to rate limit our forms, which is how we keep automated spam from flooding the inbox that real customers depend on. We do not use this data to build a profile of you, and we do not combine it with the information you submit for any marketing purpose.
Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking
This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics platform, no advertising pixels, no session recording, and no cross-site trackers. There is nothing here for you to opt out of, which is why you will not find a cookie banner. If we ever add analytics, we will update this policy and say so plainly before doing it.
Do Not Send Us Protected Health Information
SIRLab services equipment. We do not need, request, or want patient information of any kind. Please do not include protected health information (PHI), patient names, medical record numbers, images of patients, or any other patient-identifying detail in a form submission, an email, or the paperwork accompanying a shipment. If you send us PHI anyway, we will delete it when we identify it and we will not use it for any purpose. This site is not intended to receive PHI and should not be used as a channel for it.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your inquiry and answer your questions.
- Prepare, send, and discuss repair estimates, and to perform, document, and return the repair work you approve.
- Communicate with you about equipment in our care, including receipt, status, and return shipping.
- Maintain the service, testing, and quality records our ISO 9001:2015 quality management system requires.
- Protect the site and our systems against spam, abuse, and fraudulent submissions.
- Comply with law, and to establish or defend legal claims where necessary.
We do not use your information to send marketing email you did not ask for. If we ever start a mailing list, it will be opt-in and it will have an unsubscribe link.
We Do Not Sell Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have never done so.
How We Share Information
We share information only in the following circumstances, and only to the extent needed:
- Service providers. We use a small number of vendors to run this site and our correspondence, including a website host, an email delivery provider that transmits your form submission to us and sends your confirmation, and a content management service for our Insights articles. These vendors process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
- Shipping carriers. When equipment is returned to you, we provide the carrier with the name and address needed to deliver it.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
- Business transfer. If SIRLab is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will require the recipient to honor the commitments in this policy.
Data Retention
We keep inquiry and estimate correspondence for as long as needed to serve you and to maintain a reasonable business record of the work performed, and thereafter as required for our quality management, warranty, tax, and legal obligations. Server logs are retained for a short period for security and troubleshooting. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete it or render it unreadable.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are transmitted encrypted in transit. We limit access to inquiry information to the people at SIRLab who need it to do the work, and we apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive personal information, account credentials, or payment card numbers through this website’s forms.
Your Choices and Rights
You can ask us to provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, or to delete it. You can also ask us to stop contacting you. Email orders@sirlab.us and we will respond within a reasonable period. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we may need to retain certain records where law, warranty obligations, or our quality management system require it. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or national privacy law. Contact us using the details below and we will honor any rights that apply to you.
Children’s Privacy
This is a business-to-business site for surgical equipment professionals. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-Party Links
Our site links to other organizations, including StirrUpParts.com, which is a separate company. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information to them.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
