Stirrups

Stirrups are essential tools in many clinical settings, providing stability and proper positioning for patients during procedures involving the lower body. We service and repair all modern stirrup models, as well as most legacy models.

Inspection

We begin every service with a free, comprehensive inspection, adhering to OEM test criteria and specifications. We utilize our own custom-built program that guides our technicians through a meticulous, step-by-step inspection process—ensuring that no detail is overlooked.

Movement & Range of Motion Check

  • Vertical and horizontal pull tests of the main lock: Ensure the main lock holds properly and functions smoothly across both axes.

  • Pressure testing of the pneumatic lift-assist mechanism (if applicable): Check for optimal function and pressure consistency.

  • Boot lock assembly performance: Assess ease of movement and secure locking functionality.

  • Release handle function: Ensure that the assembly moves freely throughout its full range of motion, locking securely when released.

Condition Check

  • Visible corrosion: Inspect all components for any signs of corrosion that could compromise performance or safety.

  • Burrs or sharp edges: Verify that there are no dangerous burrs or sharp edges that could cause injury or malfunction.

  • Loose screws or bolts: Tighten or replace any loose hardware, ensuring proper structural integrity.

  • Knobs and handles condition: Check knobs and handles for cracks, chips, or any other sign of damage that could affect functionality or safety.

  • Boot pad condition: Assess for tears or significant wear (if applicable).

  • Velcro condition: Check for wear, tear, or loss of function (if applicable).

  • Main lock cover condition: Inspect for tears, cuts, or improper fit.

  • Additional items in need of attention: Any other components that show signs of wear, damage, or failure are documented and flagged for action.

Repair

Our repair service is designed to restore your stirrup to OEM specifications, utilizing OEM quality parts. You’ll only pay for the components that need actual repair, ensuring that you’re not overcharged for unnecessary work. We focus on restoring full functionality to extend the life of your stirrup and keep it working like new.

Refurbish

This service entails replacing all anodized components of the boot lock assembly, the lift-assist mechanism and bracket (if applicable), the main lock cover, and the boot pad for a fixed flat-rate fee. It’s an excellent choice for stirrups in need of significant restoration, enhancing both functionality and appearance.

Preventive Maintenance

Rather than waiting until your stirrup fails, our preventive maintenance service proactively identifies potential issues before they turn into significant problems. By addressing minor wear and tear early, we help you avoid unexpected downtime, reduce the likelihood of failure during use, and minimize repair costs in the long term. This approach not only enhances safety but also lowers overall liability.
